Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American artist and actress whose varied performances earned her the acclaim of fans in a variety of styles from period dramas to action thrillers and thrillers. Johansson was the daughter of an architect as well as a producer was raised in New York City. Her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. As a toddler, she developed an interest for acting and began auditioning commercials when she was seven. Soon after she enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and afterward attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan for further training in her craft. She first made an appearance as an actor in the film North (1994) around nine years old. She was just eight when she was a part of Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson was next seen as a character in Just Cause (1996), however her most memorable role was Manny & Lo 1996 that provided her with a breakthrough. It is a story about two young girls that are leaving. She next earned critical praise for her character as an adolescent who suffers a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention for her role as the cynical teenage outcast Rebecca on the set of Ghost World (2001). Smith was in an Dannon commercial for television. Like many actresses who are new, she decided to further develop her talents in the theater. She would work in different USA productions while making her debut on stage with Wildflower. She attended her first Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
